Sweet Potato Pie Ice Cream with Candied Pecans
Sweet Potato Pie Ice Cream with Candied Pecans and a drizzle of marshmallow cream. My handle the perfect fall/Thanksgiving recipe. I refuse to quit my ice cream making simply since the calendar states it’s fall and suppose to be cooler out now. I’m in Florida and it’s always ice cream weather here!
It’s funny to me that I don’t especially look after pumpkin pie much, yet I truly like sweet potato pie. Plus, I’ve always been a sucker for those sweet potato casseroles that pop up around Thanksgiving. My sister-in-law, Becky, makes a killer one. My mother and I fondly call it “sweet potato fudge. “Honestly, I do not believe I have actually ever had a sweet potato recipe I didn’t like. I’ll take sweet potatoes any method I can get them. So it only seemed natural for me to make a sweet potato pie ice cream. This ice cream dish is really similar to my pumpkin spice ice cream. And to make it additional unique, I added candied pecans and topped it with a drizzle of marshmallow cream, both my favorite sweet potato casserole garnishes!
This sweet potato pie ice cream has a couple of additional flavors that I understand you’re going to love. I added a bit of bourbon, because, well … I could not consider an excellent factor not to! Included a little bit of maple syrup and orange zest. It’s really a delightful mix of flavors.
Even if you’re not a big sweet potato pie or sweet potato casserole fan, I truly think you’ll enjoy this sweet potato pie ice cream. Because after all … it’s ICE CREAM! What’s not to like about that? Even my spouse and child who are not big sweet potato fans gave it two thumbs up! Dig in!
